TIC TOC

Join TIC TOC and be an art docent in your child’s classroom!

Tic Toc (To Introduce Culture To Our Children) is a PTA-sponsored Arts Program that is run during school hours at Radburn School. The program has been around for 60 years and Radburn has been part of it since 2007. There are collections of reproduction paintings and artifacts that are rotated between schools in Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Midland Park and Ho-Ho-Kus. Radburn is delighted to be part of this fantastic program!

As a docent you will be able to schedule time in your child’s classroom with his/her teacher to give a short presentation and do a craft related to the artwork you present. It’s a wonderful way to get to know your child’s class and they absolutely love it! You don’t have to be an artist or really know anything about art to be a docent. We provide training workshops and are always available for ideas. You can work with other parent docents or go into the classroom on your own. Typically docents go into the classroom 2 - 4 times during the school year and are in the classroom for about 45 minutes. Any amount of time is appreciated!

How to join:

Fill in the following form to be added to our email list and class docent list.

We will share the list of class docents with you so that you can collaborate or help the other docents in your child’s class.

Are you wondering what on earth I’m talking about? Please feel free to ask questions or attend an upcoming docent training!

Thank you!
