The National English Honor Society (NEHS), founded and sponsored by Sigma Tau Delta, is the only international organization exclusively for secondary students and faculty who, in the field of English, merit special note for past and current accomplishments. Members foster a love for the English language through tutoring, volunteering, and creating/participating in fun events. Making the world a better place, one bad pun at a time.

NEHS applications will open for current JUNIORS who meet the following requirements after Midterm exams:

• Must be a current FLHS student in 11th grade in excellent disciplinary standing

• Minimum A- average in CP/Honors English classes and/or a B average or higher in AP English classes.

• Applicants must have a 3.5 or higher weighted GPA (by Midyear).

• Applicants must demonstrate evidence of English-related works, activities, and writing samples.
