Hundreds of school supplies have been collected to benefit James Monroe Elementary School in Edison, NJ. Pens, pencils, notebooks, books and other essential materials are on their way to the children so they can get back to their studies after their school burnt down in March 2014. Thank you to all the Radburn families for their support and continued generosity.
We wish to thank the many Radburn students and families for their generosity during our collection for the Autism Speaks Foundation. We collected our $212 dollars that will be donated to this worthy cause. We are so fortunate to be part of such a giving community.
Our replica of the Paterson library is full to the brim and then some. We thank the generous Radburn families for giving the gift of reading by donating books to this worthy cause.
In celebration of the 100th day, the second grade students collected toothbrushes for the Mahwah Marine Moms organization. MMM takes donations for care packages to send to soldiers serving in our armed forces. We were so proud of our 2nd grades because they collected over 147 toothbrushes!
In conjunction with our Fall Fitness Foliage Walk, students brought in one can of food which we donated to Perth Amboy Public Schools who had over 90 displaced families. All donated foods were given to affected families.
The entire school donated school related items such as pencils, markers, crayons, pencil boxes, and notebooks to the Little Ferry Public Schools. Many of the schools were severely damaged as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Each grade level particpated by donating a specific item.
Two 20 inch bicycles were donated to Shelter Our Sisters by the Principal's Council and in collaboration with our PTA. The bicycles provided two lucky children with an extra special Holiday gift.
The entire Radburn Staff adopted two local families and purchased a variety of gifts for their holiday. Every year the staff reaches out to the community to support a family in need and make their holidays a little brighter.
Our Toys for Tots drive again was very successful and our box was overflowing with gifts. Our Radburn community is very generous.
